George Donikian

George is an Australian media icon, but also a passionate football fan, player and administrator.

 

Beginning in radio, he soon progressed to anchor the first critically acclaimed SBS World News, for eight and a half years, before moving to the Nine Network and later the Ten Network in Adelaide and Melbourne.  

 

He is the host of The Informer, Australia's online news and current affairs broadcaster. 

​

George was an inaugural committee member of Women in Football and withdrew as a committee member in 2020 due to work commitments.

​

He is also an Ambassador for Bully Zero and Melbourne City FC and is an Advisory Board member of the Australian Intercultural Society.

Simon Hill

Simon is known as the 'voice of football' in Australia having been chief commentator for Fox Sports for 14 years until his departure in July 2020.

​

He began his career as a journalist in the UK, working for FM Radio in Cardiff before joining the BBC and later ITV. He freelanced for a number of media organisations until emigrating to Australia in 2003 where he worked SBS-TV on cricket and football for three years, before joining Fox Sports.

 

He has covered the A-League, W-League, Socceroos and Matildas matches, the World Cup, Asian Cup, European matches and the Premier League.

​

He is a lifelong fan of Manchester City.
